40 million slaves alive today - so I am wearing a dress every day in December.
1 in 4 slaves are children. Help me by donating or raising awareness with Dressember to fight human trafficking and end slavery in our lifetime.
Dear Friends,
I want to let you know why I am passionate about fighting and ENDING modern day slavery and human trafficking.
Please consider donating to my Dressember campaign!
Please join me in prayer for the global fight against human trafficking! (See below for details and specifics).
Every life has inherent value, worth, and dignity because God has declared the magnificence of his human creation across each page of the Bible and across the globe.
Each December, Dressember raises awareness and funds to fight this tragedy. Each day during December, we women wear dresses every day and the men wear bowties or ties, and we wear buttons that say “Ask me about my dress” or “Ask me about my tie”. My dress below is from the Dressember store, and was made ethically by women rescued from sex trafficking in Nepal.

Our vision is a world without slavery. Help me to raise $500 in the month of December to help end human trafficking around the world and support survivors. ANY amount will help.

Stats: 1 in 200 people are slaves. In 2016, the number of slaves globally was 40.3 million. “Human trafficking is a hidden crime, making it hard to quantify. Anti-trafficking advocates are often faced with the challenge of how to most effectively convey the scope and severity of the problem while putting victims’ stories into context. The swift movement of trafficked victims and the invisibility of these crimes makes it nearly impossible to determine exactly how many slaves there are in the world.” - source.

I have already gotten to start several awesome conversations with my button. Many people aren’t aware that slavery exists at all today, much less in their own city.
